Our Radiologists
Drs. DesChene Brochtrup, Jason Brumitt, and Diana Stuckey are board certified veterinary Radiologists. Each graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. DesChene Brochtrup
DesChene (DC) Brochtrup, DVM, DACVR graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. After finishing Veterinary school, DesChene practiced in the St. Louis area for five years, including equine ambulatory medicine, small animal and exotic general practice, and small animal emergency medicine prior to completing a three-year Residency in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiology at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS (2009-2012). After completion of her Residency and board certification in the fall of 2012, DesChene joined VIS - Mobile in St. Louis. DesChene shares her home with her husband and two loving dogs, a "mostly" Labrador, Castor, and a "kind of" Labrador, Espresso. She is a member of the AVMA and ACVR.
Dr. Jason Brumitt
Dr. Brumitt received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and completed a 1-year internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery the following year. Dr. Brumitt was in private practice for 2 years before accepting a Residency position in Diagnostic Imaging at Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his Residency and Master of Science degree in May, 2009 and was board certified in Veterinary Radiology in 2010. Dr. Brumitt has a special interest in cross sectional imaging procedures such as CT and MRI. He joined Veterinary Imaging Specialists (VIS) in 2009 and formed VIS - Mobile in 2012. He is a member of the AVMA, ACVR, MVMA, and GSLVMA.
Dr. Diana Stuckey
Dr. Stuckey is a board certified veterinary Radiologist. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Dr. Stuckey completed a Small Animal Internship and a year of radiology training at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. After one year of private practice, she returned to the University of Missouri and completed her Residency in Radiology in 1992. Dr. Stuckey became board certified that same year. In 1994 she co-founded Veterinary Imaging Specialists (VIS) and joined VIS - Mobile in 2012. She is a member of the AVMA, ACVR, MVMA, and GSLVMA.
What is a Board Certified Radiologist?
An American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) board certified Radiologist (ACVR Diplomate) is a veterinarian who has received advanced training in diagnostic imaging and has passed the ACVR Board Certification Examination.
